When was Council #4374 chartered?
The Father Finley Council #4374 was chartered in 1957 by four East Metro-St. Paul churches: Blessed Sacrament, Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Pascal Baylon, and Saint Thomas the Apostle (now merged with Blessed Sacrament).
The Council is named after Fr. William Finley (1865-1953), founding Pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish.
Where do we serve?
We currently serve Saint Paul’s East Metro through fundraisers and service projects. Our membership, consisting of more than 250 Catholic men, comes from primarily these East Metro Catholic Churches:
- St. Ambrose of Woodbury
- Blessed Sacrament
- Saint Casimir
- Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
- Saint Pascal Baylon
- Saint Patrick’s
We also have other members representing additional Catholic churches.
What are our values?
Our fraternal order’s traditional values of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism are core to our activities. We are “Faith in Action” with a local focus.
We are an active council that conducts 28 programs in the areas of Church, Family, Youth, Community and Council Activities. Our pancake breakfasts are conducted at six different east metro parishes each year.
How to get involved?
If you are a Catholic man age 18 years and older, we would like to invite you to join the 1.8 million Knights of Columbus. It is a great way to serve your parish and community.
Check out our latest newsletter. Come to one of our upcoming events. Our monthly meetings are conducted at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Oakdale.
If you are already a Knight or an inactive Knight who is looking for a council, we offer you the opportunity to join our team.
